2016 Dalian Women's Tennis Open Ends with

Tennis Charm and City Style Demonstrated

       On the evening of September 11th, 2016 Dalian Women's Tennis Open came to an end, which was sponsored by  Tennis Sport Management Center of  General Administration of Sports of China and Dalian Municipal People's Government, organized by  Dalian Municipal Sports Bureau and Dalian Xinghai Bay Development and Construction Management Center contractor, and co-organized by Dalian Sports. As the largest international tennis tournament of the highest professional level in Northeast China, the tournament attracted 53 players from 23 countries regions including China, the United States, Germany, Japan,Israel, Thailand, and Spain, who played in the 8 days to compete for the champion of singles and doubles through 46 intense competitions. According to the statistics, the Sports Center received more than ten thousand of tennis fans from around the country during the event with the overall increase of  the people’s attention to the event.

       Dalian Women Tennis Open, one of the world's six stations this year, and the only one in Mainland China of WTA 125K series, is  the tennis tournament of such level undertaken by Dalian Sports Center for the second time. The international first-class facilities, experienced service team, high quality caddies and volunteers, and enthusiastic fans have all played an important role for the success of this competition, showing the charm of the city of Dalian in sports and culture and gaining the high evaluation from  all athletes, referees and officials.

       Dalian Women's Tennis Open has become a city brand game, and tennis is gradually influencing the city.  The tennis fans who have come to the games said that Dalian Women's Tennis Open will enable more people to enjoy and participate in the sport of tennis. While the event grows for two years, tennis in Dalian will also develop rapidly with the rapid expansion of tennis population and the further enhancement in influence and reputation of the city.
